Assists Owners/Managers to properly interpret law governing those involved in sale of Alcoholic Beverages

           FREE ABC LAW TRAINING

The Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association (ESTRA) is pleased to announce that they are teaming up with and Tech Valley Security and Southern Wine & Spirits to offer the invaluable and sought after training titled “The ABC’s of the Alcoholic Beverages Control Law”. The training, developed with the assistance of the State Liquor Authority provides owners and managers of licensed premises with the tools and information they need to comply with the Alcoholic Beverage Control law.

It is well accepted that compliance with the law is the best way to protect the public, our communities and our businesses. This program will give you, as an owner or manager, an understanding of your duties and responsibilities under the law. But this training is more than a mere listing of the laws you must follow. In addition to explaining the State Liquor Authority’s expectations of licensees, the program provides detailed guidance on the steps that you can take to ensure you operate in compliance with the law.

This comprehensive training will be delivered by Bob Benedetto (NY State Liquor Authority - Retired) and Scott Wexler, Executive Director of the Empire State Restaurant & Tavern Association. It will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 between the hours of 9:30 AM and 12:45 PM at the American Legion Post 1450, 275 Grooms Road, Clifton Park, New York 12065. (Just east of Exit 8A, Northway)  Parking will be available on site. Refreshments will be provided.

Thanks to the generous support of Southern Wine & Spirits this training will be provided free of charge, but seating is limited so we must limit the number of attendees to two management level representatives per business.
