10th Annual Concert Under the Stars and Irish Fest

The Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center is proud to announce that the 10th Annual Concert Under the Stars and Irish Festival will take place on Saturday, August 13 from 3-9pm. The event will be held along the Waterford waterfront and will include: Irish themed Walking Tour on the Old Champlain Canal (1:30pm), Irish food, Irish heritage groups, Irish themed merchants, crafts, family activities, a beer tasting barge and of course Irish music! The Scotia Glenville Pipe Band will kick things off after the opening ceremony at 3pm, followed by the Boys of Wexford and at 7pm Hair of the Dog will perform aboard the Tug Grand Erie. The event is free and open to the public thanks to generous support by our major sponsors Momentive Performance Materials and the Town and Village of Waterford. In conjunction with the festival there will be a Beer Tasting Barge which will be open from 3pm-9pm aboard the historic railroad barge “Pennsylvania Railroad 399.” The beers of the Troy Brewing Company will be featured and there will be a $20 fee to try the brews. All proceeds go toward the Museum’s general operating expenses. If there is rain the festival and concert will be moved to Waterford-Halfmoon School, located at 125Middletown Road, Waterford. The beer tasting would be cancelled if the event is moved to the rain location.
