Recent works by Kathi Blinn & Greg Klein
Sorelle Gallery is Pleased to present "Recent Works" by Artists Kathi Blinn and Greg Klein. Ms. Blinn's new compositions will transfix you by her masterful way she paints dimension. The lighting and shading in her "hyperrealism" oils on canvas makes the viewer want to reach into the painting and touch the objects. Her universal appeal of both her oils and acrylics has helped to launch her into the art marker spotlight. Ms. Blinn's work bridges the gap between modern design and traditional subject matter with the dramatic use of negative space and chiaroscuro light. Blinn said "A friend and fellow artist once told me , Art gives humanity what reality denies, and I couldn't have said it better". This is a "must see" show says owner Sandy Pelletier, but please try not to touch the art! Mr. Klein grew up in rural Nebraska and studied wildlife biology and art at the University of Nebraska. He spent ten years in Colorado, exploring and painting the vast countryside of the Rocky Mountains. After visiting and experiencing the rugged beauty of the Adirondacks, he and his wife decided to settle in Upstate New York. Mr. Klein's work translates the emotional potential of the scene into the painting. The viewer feels the vastness of these places combined with a slight apprehension of the unknown. Mr. Klein's use of rich color, light and movement draws the viewer into the scene creating a strong sense of mystery.Friday Oct 21, 2011 Thursday Nov 10, 2011
