Opportunity to learn more about the League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters is kicking off its fall membership campaign this year with an appeal to those who care about the issues but are turned off to the way partisan politics is dealing with them. The public can drop in on October 6 to visit information booths and talk to members about the League’s mission and advocacy process. League membership is open to men as well as women, and Saratoga County currently has close to 200 members. On a national level, the organization was founded in 1920 when women first gained the right to vote after 75 years of struggle.
