DESCRIPTION:Jim MacMillan discussed how he captured the aftermath of the attacks on the World Trade Center.On Sunday\, September 11\, 2011 at 3pm\, The Hyde Collection is honored to host Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Jim MacMillan. Walking Through Ground Zero: Images from the First 24 Hours\, will be held in the Helen Froehlich Auditorium\, where MacMillan discusses how he visually captured the aftermath of the attacks on the World Trade Center. His compelling image (below) is included in The Hyde’s exhibition\, New York\, New York! The 20th Century\, which runs through September 18\, 2011. \n	Mr. MacMillan is presently the Journalist in Residence at the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College. In this role\, he advises and produces War News Radio\, teaches a new course in Peace Journalism\, and advises other student groups on new media and independent journalism.\n	This event is part of a week-long tribute (September 10 through September 18\, 2011) entitled Honoring Those Who Serve.  The museum is offering free exhibition admission to any professional first-responders and volunteers (such as police officers\, fire fighters\, ambulance corps\, etc.). On Sunday\, September 11\, we’re opening our doors to our visitors with free admission to both the exhibition and Mr. MacMillan’s presentation. sponsored by SCA Tissue.
