DESCRIPTION:Hear from experts on various topics and connect with other Impact Sector members! These sessions provide both knowledge and networking to help area non-profit organizations.\n\n\n\nMission Possible: A Practical Guide to AI for Nonprofits\n\nPresented by Dr. Beth Moeller\, Owner of Interactive Media Consulting\n\nDid you ever wonder how AI works and how you can use it in your organization?  This introductory workshop will cover how AI works\, pitfalls to watch out for\, and how to construct prompts that will provide better results for you.  Please bring a laptop or tablet -- something with a keyboard -- so you can try some strategies we discuss in real time.\n\n\n\nAbout Dr. Beth Moeller\n\n\n\nBeth Weise Moeller\, owner of IMC\, has spent more than 20 years researching the best way to organize and present electronic information for the greatest impact. Beth holds a BS in Physics and Technical Communication from Clarkson University\, an MS in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute\, and a PhD in Communication & Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  Her PhD research concentrated on the design of multimedia user interfaces for learning.\n\n\n\nBeth is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Past-President of the IEEE Professional Communication Society. She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Saratoga and currently serves on the Leadership Council for the School of Arts and Sciences at Clarkson University and as President of the Board of Directors at Home Made Theater.  She is a Past President of the Board of Trustees for the Saratoga Independent School. Beth has also spent time volunteering at Saratoga Central Catholic\, coaching Odyssey of the Mind teams and helping with theater events. Her latest project is the founding of The Innovation Center at Saratoga\, Inc.\, a makerspace\, artist incubator\, and rapid prototyping center in Saratoga Springs. She currently services as President of the Board of Directors.\n\n\n\nIn 2002 Beth was named one of the 40 Under Forty by The Business Review of Albany\, NY. In 2004 she was awarded the Emily K. Schlesinger Award for Service to the Society by the IEEE Professional Communication Society. In 2008 she received the Woodstock Award from the Clarkson University Alumni Association\, recognizing personal achievement and loyalty to the university. In 2013\, she received the Charles Ehrlich Award for Alumni Admissions work at Clarkson University.\n\n\n\nFun Fact: Beth plays the flute in the Ballston Spa Community Band and is a college hockey fan.\n\n\n\nYou can reach Beth at beth@imediaconsult.com
