DESCRIPTION:This monthly event\, hosted by Carol Graser\, takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and includes an open mic reading as well a featured poet. Sign up for the open mic starts at 7:00 and readings start at 7:30. Each open mic poet reads two short poems (less than one page) or one longer poem. All styles of poetry are welcome. The feature this month is Steven Huff. Steven Huff is the author of three collections of poetry\, including A Fire in the Hill \, new from Blue Horse Press\, and two story collections\, including Blissful and Other Stories (Cosmographia\, 2017). He is editor of Knowing Knott: Essays on an American Poet (Tiger Bark\, 2017). Recent essays have appeared in The Gettysburg Review and the Solstice Literary Magazine. He is a Pushcart Prize winner in fiction and an O. Henry finalist. The Founding Publisher and Editor at Tiger Bark Press\, he teaches creative writing at the Solstice Low-Residency MFA Program at Pine Manor College in Boston. He lives in Rochester NY.
