The class will then move on to drawing out tapers\, splitting\, twisting\, upsetting and all the other necessary steps required to have a good foundation for becoming a blacksmith. Hardening\, tempering and forge welding will also be discussed and demonstrated. This will be a great class for anyone with an interest in blacksmithing\, from the simply curious to the aspiring professional!\n\n\nNOTE:  Hard shoes and long pants are required for student safety. Owing to the physical demands and to safety issues\, this class is suggested for students 18 years of age and older.
