DESCRIPTION:The National Museum of Racing PreschoolThe National Museum of Racing’s Preschool Program is back for the 2012 school year.  Please join the Preschool Program at the National Museum of Racing\, 191 Union Ave.\, Saratoga Springs\; on Friday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Each class consists of story time\, learning a letter and number and a craft project.  An adult must accompany children. Admission is $30.00 per child\; for the six Fridays.  (Museum members receive a 15% discount.)  Space is limited and advance reservations are required\; call 584-0400\, ext. 118 .  Please call in advance\, so we may plan accordingly.  Thank you.  PLEASE NOTE: In the event of bad weather\, if the Saratoga Schools are closed or delayed\, the preschool will be closed.  \n						\n\n 	\n\n				 \nCaring for Animals\nFriday\, December 30\nOur pets need the proper care to be healthy\, just like us.  We will learn what basic care a horse or pony needs.  Please bring in a picture of your pet to share.\n\n\n	Happy New Year!		\nFriday\, January 6\nThe Thoroughbred’s official birthday is January 1st.  When is your birthday?  We will learn how many days are in a year\, and what is a yearling?  \n\n		 \n\nCelebrate Our Differences\nFriday\, January 13\nIn honor of Martin Luther King\, Jr. Day we look at what makes us different and special. We will talk about famous African American jockeys and trainers in racing.\nOur book will be Perfect Timing.\n\n\n\nDream Catchers\nFriday\, January 20\nLearn about Native Americans and why their horses were so important to them.  Make your own dream catcher. \n\nPegasus\, The Flying Horse\nFriday\, January 27\nThe ancient Greeks were famous for their horsemanship.  We will hear the myth of Pegasus\,\n and make galaxies.\n\nGalloping into Your Hearts\nFriday\, February 3\nLet’s have some fun. Make your own valentines on watercolor\, burst a bubble paper.   Our story will be Henry in Love.
