Employers & employees walking together to promote workplace wellness
Today, a group of employers and employees joined together for a one-mile employee wellness walk, in the rain, Clifton Park and Halfmoon. This event was organized by the Chamber's Twin Bridges Council and was hosted by the Clifton Park - Halfmoon EMS. The event was sponsored by Hedley & Company with support from The Adirondack Trust Company which is the sponsor of our Healthy Saratoga movement.
On Wednesday, we joined with employees from Stat Staff Professionals, at 18 Division Street, in Saratoga Springs as they walked from their offices to the Saratoga Farmer's Market. The company secured $5 tokens for each participating employee that they could use to purchase healthy food from local farms as part of this initiative.
Next Thursday, iRun Local and the Chamber are co-hosting a "Scavenger Walk and Run" at 5:00 p.m. We have a dozen local health and wellness locations across downtown Saratoga Springs that will take part in this effort. Participants will be given a map of these locations at iRun Local at the event and then will be given time to walk or run to as many of these locations as possible. At each location, the host will provide participants with a raffle ticket. Participants will return to iRun Local with these raffle tickets and the chance to win some great prizes.

Grassroots campaign coming soon - Three years ago with help from our friends at Fingerpaint Marketing, the #Pharoahtoga campaign was launched by NYRA and the Chamber to encourage American Pharoah to race in Saratoga after winning the Triple Crown. Just minutes after Justify won the Belmont Stakes and became the 13th winner of the Triple Crown, the Chamber was fielding calls from locals ready to help us launch a similar campaign this year. We've already had meetings this week and look forward to sharing more with everyone soon.
Win Lawn Seats for Freihofer's Saratoga Jazz Fest - To help us promote next week's Saratoga JazzFest Friday, Saratoga Eagle and Stella Artois donated 40 tickets for lawn seats at the Jazz Festival itself at SPAC, on Saturday, June 23 & Sunday, June 24. For ten straight days, we are posting a promotion of one of the local establishments hosting a JazzFest Friday event.
