SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (Dec. 1, 2017) — The Summit at Saratoga (1 Perry Road, Saratoga Springs) will host an estate/long-term care planning presentation on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m.

John Musacchio, an attorney at Towne, Ryan & Partners, P.C., will host the informative program, which is aimed at providing individuals with the options that are available when planning for their future residential, healthcare, financial, and estate planning needs.

“A portion of the presentation will describe some basic estate planning devices (i.e. wills, trusts, etc.), the gift tax and estate tax issues,” said Musacchio. “It will then transition into a discussion of the various options that can be used to help protect peoples’ financial resources as they begin to face higher costs of medical care so that they can have something to pass on to their loved ones.

“I also plan to talk about the use of various documents such as a health care proxy and a living will to preserve peoples’ dignity by specifying their future health care wishes (i.e. life support, artificial nutrition, etc.) in case they are ever unable to communicate or otherwise become incapacitated,” he continued.

A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

The presentation is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Reserve your place by calling (518) 430-2136, or emailing rebeccad@summitsaratoga.com. For directions to the community, visit http://summitsaratoga.com/contact-us.html
